Fall 2016 Volume 14, Issue 4
First off I just wanted to thank you for all your prayers and continuous words of encouragement during this season. But I have had some good days and some bad days. I am very grateful for my amazing family and friends who have also kept me going. It’s been a rollercoaster during this health trial. But I am also blessed to have my first nephew part of my life. He is such a joy not only to my brother and sister in law, as they have been such amazing parents. My nephew is such a joy to me and my family. Before he was even born he kept me going kept me fighting, his my inspiration. On days when I’m not feeling well, he keeps me smiling.
I remember having a heart to heart conversation with my mom one day, and she told me “It’s ok to cry”. And I can share with you, just because I’m in ministry, I’m not perfect. There have been challenges, there have been bad days, and there have been days where I don’t even want to get out of bed. But one thing is certain. My God almighty is my true physician and He will complete His healing!! I am happy to be back in part time ministry. I’m taking it one day at a time. I really love being back with YWAM San Diego. Love seeing the faces of the community who are always encouraging me. I may not know what the future may look like. But I am very blessed to be here for now.

Family Time!!
As I been home during this time, I have discovered many things not only about myself. I have realized I have taken one thing for granted. I would always come home to visit my family and friends on short visits 1 or 2 weeks perhaps 3 weeks at the most during the last 15 years. But there was always a purpose when I would come home. Visit churches, visit friends, come and meet with sponsors. And of course never regretting my visits to California. I would meet with friends and those who are part of my ministry team, after all you make this happen. My parents got use to this routine, we had a great long distance relationship. We did enjoy the time when I was living in San Diego/Tijuana for 5 years and I would come home maybe once a month or every other month. But none the less, my family time has always been has always understood that. I have realized as I am home during this season, I am getting to know my folks all over again. I’m enjoying it, it also means being patient with each other as it is different. But I want to, I want to cherish this time with them. But they have been super supportive and understanding! They bless me so much!! My brother and sister in law as well. Thank you for allowing me to be home for a while before being ready to be part of ministry again. You made this happen. Thank you!!

Fall is here!
Things have been going well the last couple months. Like I said mostly just spending time with family and friends, and my first nephew. Getting healthier each day. And back at YWAM San Diego/Baja. Please be praying, there is a situation in Tijuana with many refugees from Haiti, Congo Ghana, and other countries in Africa who are looking for asylum, over 1,000 refugees are crammed in tents. The local church has been a helping hand to these refugees as well as YWAM SDB. Please be praying for more resources as we try and find a solution.
I also have had a few invitations for speaking engagements coming up in October and November which I’m really excited for! One is for a Bible school end of the month in which I will be sharing about “Women in Missions”. The other is in November where I will be giving a workshop about missions and the engaging the local church in Missions. I’m really excited for these great opportunities. I’m excited to have cooler weather, trees, and mountains. And now with staying in San Diego part time, love seeing the Ocean.
Since I’m now with YWAM San Diego/Baja again, you can now re-direct financial support. Thank you for all your prayers and support, for standing with me. I would also like to pray for you!
Many blessings!

July- August Summer 2016 Volume 14, Issue 3
So Grateful!!
Before I begin this update, I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement during this time. For those who are keeping up with my posts, I been walking thru illness since my last trip to India and Nepal. It’s unknown as to what started it all. But your prayers are much felt; your financial support is much appreciated. Thank you for believing in me and for standing with me.
YWAM Las Vegas
Well I finished my commitment with YWAM Las Vegas August 1st. After coming back from outreach in June I didn’t have an opportunity to do much because I was so sick. I kept attending staff meetings as I could. I helped with Mission Adventures when I had my good days. It was a great 2 years with YWAM Las Vegas. Being able to staff Discipleship Training School for both years and help with Hospitality and other opportunities such as helping with local outreach. I also had the opportunity to co-lead a small group for Singles ministry for the church I was attending, The Crossing church. The staff at YWAW Las Vegas were a blessing, surrounded me with prayer and encouragement when I needed them the most. I had some amazing roommates as well, such amazing women of God. I’m going to miss them, but I also know it was time to move on. Thank you YWAM Las Vegas for a great 2 years!!
Summer & Health update
After coming back from India and Nepal I was supposed to take some time off. But I got really sick. I ended up having to be admitted to hospital and then it was discovered that I needed Gallbladder surgery. The surgery was a success, but during that time I was told I had acute pancreatitis as well and this hasn’t stopped. It was a mystery as to why this illness began. This illness is normally related to alcohol consumption, but since I didn’t. There is the rare population that can get acute pancreatitis from family genes, side- effect of some medicines, gallstones, infections with parasites or just unknown factors. I have been admitted to the hospital or been to the ER at least 6 times since June. I have my good days and bad days. But I can tell you that each day I remind myself that this battle is the Lords! I believe I will be healed! He is the Lord almighty and my true physician. I may not understand why these things happen, but I know He is ahead of me and will continue to move forward.
Things have been going well so far at the moment with health. I feel so encouraged with Gods favor, so many people telling me that they are praying, many sending me words of encouragement, and getting deep in the word. I have been feeling so much better, so thank you for standing with me. For believing with me for a miracle.

Next Step
At the moment I am in California with my family, resting and recovering, taking one day at a time. Plans have been rerouted and after seeking the Lord I am no longer going to join YWAM Ships Papua New Guinea at this time. I know its all Gods timing, He opens and closes doors. I know when plans changes it’s all for a reason. I don’t know yet what plans will be for the Fall but there are a few options and opportunity I am praying about. If things continue to go well I hope to be going back to full time ministry by November. But there is no rush.
I have learned to put my health first; if I am not well then how can I help others. I just so desire to continue to share the Gospel and expand His kingdom. It’s the only reason I want to be well. I miss it so much, it’s my passion. I pray each day to be well and be healthy, to see that miracle. But as I wait I know that I can be used where I am. To pray and encourage the nurses that stick me with IV’s as they draw my blood, sometimes up to 10x’s since I have very bad veins. I encourage my roommates in the hospitals who have lost hope and cry themselves to sleep. I get up in the middle of the night, grab their hand and pray for them and share with them about the love of Jesus. I tell the doctors who tell me to, “hang in there we are working on it,” as I answer..”Oh I am, “My hope is in God”. Even though it’s a mystery why this illness came to be. The enemy might try to destroy me, but I know this is a battle he will not win! This battle is the Lords and my VICTORY is in GOD!!

Outreach- April-June 2016 update
Volume 14, Issue 2
This update is long overdue. So many things have happened since my last update. I want to thank you all who have faithfully stood with me that last few months. Not only during this season while I was staffing the Discipleship Training School ,which was an amazing experience l. But also during my recent health ordeal which I will share more about. Thank you for believing in me, sowing into what God has called me out to do. I love being part of young people’s lives, seeing them reach their potential being transformed and walk in their new identity in the Lord and find their calling. But to also see them grow! It was one amazing time. Some ups and downs, but overall a blessing to be part of.
Lecture & Outreach: Carry the Love:
So it all started off in Las Vegas with some amazing group of students. We finished our lecture phase then we started our first week of outreach by going to Los Angeles at an event called “Carry the Love” which are the 10 days leading up to the Azusa Now events. During the 10 days we went all over the city, sharing the Gospel, prayer walking, going to college campuses, saw healings and salvation's. It was an amazing time! On April 9th we all gathered for the big event! It was so amazing to be gathered with 1,000’s worshiping & praying with so so many at the grand revival!! April 10th we headed out on outreach, 2 different teams, ADTS headed to India while ODTS went to Africa. It would be the first time in 3 months our students would be apart. Here we go!

INDIA & NEPAL!
My team 12 of us including staff and students- Abolitionist DTS landed in India April 11th. The first 3 weeks were spent in Indi, it was a bit hard because of the weather being so hot. We got to help in Slum School and serving in ministry project with Widows & women at Risk. We really enjoyed helping at the slum school teaching English, bible lessons, songs and dramas. It was also a time where we really got to know each other as a team. Find each other’s gifts and talents. When we got to help with the women we mostly got to listen to their stories and pray for them, which was also a blessing. We also had the opportunity to go to the surround villages and share the gospel. It was a great time to share testimonies, pray for the sick and many accepted salvation
The second half of outreach was in Nepal. This was my 2nd time in Nepal, and I truly loved being back, seeing good friends, such a beautiful country. It was an amazing time!! We helped in slum ministry with kids ministry, evangelism. Women at Risk teaching English at a women’s center. We had a daily schedule, we would split the team and we all had different responsibilities. What made it tough is that we were struggling with illness for a couple weeks, some bug was making things difficult. But the team did amazing and we overcame it. The last 10 days we were able to go to villages near the Himalayas. It was an incredible time. Sharing the gospel to those who have never heard. Such a great experience to see our team reflecting the love of Jesus. It was an amazing time, thank you for standing with me!

Staying Health & end of journey!
During the last few weeks of outreach in Nepal, I was struggling a lot with illness. A lot of members of my team also caught a parasite. Ups and downs, but we pushed thru. I had an amazing team, helping each other, being of support to one another. But it was also a difficult time, as being sick overseas can be.
I was able to make it back to Vegas and see my students graduate. That was a blessing and a miracle. I was feeling good for a few days, think God just gave me a few days before I felt sick and had to go to the hospital and take care of myself.
As soon graduation was over I went to the hospital to figure out what was wrong as my symptoms kept getting worse. I had to go to a different hospital, had a battery of test and came to find out that the parasite I had caught triggered pancreatitis which then made things bad for my gallbladder. After more test and some amazing group of doctors I found out I needed surgery for gallbladder removal. But I was not worried at all. I knew it would be ht best thing for me. There were so many doctors on my case, double checking everything. Of course the Lord almighty is my true physician, and knew that He was doing a healing in my body. It took some time after the surgery to get table because my pancreas was not getting better, but after another week in hospital I was finally stable to go home. It was a long ordeal, but God did a miracle!! Always keeping my eyes on HIM! There were so many people praying, thank you for standing with me, for believing in a miracle with me. I’m feeling back to my old self. The enemy tries to take me down, but he does not win!! With God on my side, I overcame!! Thank you!!
My commitment in YWAM Las Vegas is coming to an end, I been here 2 years now, I have enjoyed this place, it’s been home, I have met some amazing people, some great friends who have truly blessed my life, have learned new life lessons. But it’s time to move on. I need to go where the Lord is calling me to go. But not to worry I am still staying with YWAM. My commitment is ending by August 1st, I will be going on staff retreat August 10-12th as well. Then going to California for a few months before my next project.

New year, New home, New car..Kind of
Well so many things have happened in the last couple months since the New Year. I’m in a new season, with so many things all around me. I have started this New Year with some changes in my personal life, but I’m embracing it. I’m happy!!
I was blessed couple months ago with a new used car. It’s been great to not walk on eggs shells and hoping my car will make it each day. But now I don’t have to worry. I also moved off campus along with the rest of female staff just 1 block from the base. Our own little home. It’s been really nice, brings us closer together. So things are going well.

1 month down
We are at the end of our 4th week of our Discipleship Training School with 16 amazing students!! It’s been great to see them grow the last few weeks getting to know them more each day. It’s such a blessing to pour into their lives. To see and hear what God is doing in their personal lives. I remember being their age, many who are just starting. That hunger of getting to know more about themselves and see what will happen next. To find their original design, original calling.
While being here in Vegas, every week we been going outreaches in our city. We been able to take the students to the strip to do some evangelism, share on Fremont and prayer walks, share and advocate against Human trafficking. Just have conversations with some of the most needy people in Vegas. This Sunday for Valentines we will be having an outreach, using flowers to reach trafficking victims, or those caught in the sex industry. Our goal is to just be a blessing to as many people as we can, pray and have a conversation with many.
February 22-27 I will be helping lead a mini outreach to Ensenada and Tijuana Mexico to get involved in a few opportunities. We will be going to a Girls rehab, boys rehab, orphanage, and also visiting the Red Light District in Tijuana. This will give our students exposure and be a blessing to Mexico!

Let's GO
January 28-January 31st I was able to visit home for a fundraiser event and Missions Sunday. I was able to have some dear friends of mind visit from India. It was so amazing to visit my home church and encourage many about missions and abut the any things that are going on in India.
And we just found out that I and other staff will be helping lead our students to INDIA and NEPAL for a 2 month outreach!! I’m so excited!!!! I know it’s going to be amazing!! The other half of the team will be going to Africa.
I will be helping co-lead 9 students to India & Nepal. We will first spend 1 week in California for a mission’s conference in Los Angeles where 1,000’s will gather. So this will start March 30th – April 9th and we fly overseas April 9th- June 3rd. But I need your help. This is going to be an amazing opportunity and can sure use your help.
Please prayerfully consider partnering with me in making this possible. My heart is to reach the unreached of India & Nepal. To advance His Kingdom. I cannot do this alone. Every dollar makes a difference.
