Season to Be Grateful
There is so much to be thankful for in this season! To see my students grow & thrive has been such a blessing. Being part of their lives the last few months has truly been a blessing for me in so many ways. I been so grateful to be part of this YWAM community, to be among staff and students. Standing together to be able to give back were able to hold a thanksgiving dinner for the needy. It truly blessed me to see our students give back with open hearts a hot meal to many who were in need. So many stories were exchanged in the room, smiles, turkey cut, and mash potatoes put on plates. It was more that food served. It was about reflecting Gods love to those who need it to the most. Everyone did such an amazing job! A time to be in our community. In November we so grateful! And you were all part of that, thank you for sowing for being part. You made a huge difference in the lives here in Las Vegas. Over 100 people were fed that day..It’s because of people like you.

To the Nations
24 students and 5 staff are in 3 Nations. These are the moments that makes me super proud. Nepal, Africa & Eastern Europe! They are on a journey of a lifetime to advance His Kingdom. It’s because of people like you that we are able to Disciple our students for 3 months here in Vegas then send them off on a 2 month missions trip. Thank you for standing with me for believing in me. For seeing my heart to allow me to encourage and prepare more young adults for the mission field and into the Nations!! You are part of what is happening right now in those Nations!! God is so good!! Thank you! We are hearing some great stories and can’t wait to see what will happen next!

Almost 500!!
It’s been 14 months, and almost 500 days that I been living in Las Vegas!! It’s been one amazing year. A year of blessings, trials, adventures, seasons, heat, adjusting. Here I am, its’s been one full year, living in a place I never imagined I would call this place home. You have stood with me, walked along with me, believed in what the Lord has called me out to do.
I’m in a place that’s not always easy. But this is home, this is urban ministry. To serve the poor, love the needy, disciple those who are being called. I am here to make an impact, to leave an imprint.

24 Making a Difference!!
I’m so excited to part of the Discipleship Training school (Bible School) We are in in our 4th week. It’s been awesome to see the students grow, get deeper with God, get closer as a school, and see them be challenge. The first 3 months will be here in Las Vegas, where they will have lectures, taking part in different local outreaches. The last 2 months as part of the curriculum is go on a international outreach. The students will be divided in different teams, this time they will be going to India, Nepal, Africa and Eastern Europe!! I am so proud of them. I also wish I was going with them. But I’m only staffing lecture phase, and helping lead a mini outreach to Mexico in couple weeks.
Please continue to keep me and the DTS students and staff n your prayers. We want to be able to be of good influence to these students, work together and united as staff.

Mexico & More
I’m so excited to share that I will help lead our students and staff on a mini outreach trip to Baja Mexico!! I’m really excited for this opportunity. Many of our students have not been overseas. This will give a bit of prep before their bigger trip end of November. We will partnering with a church in Ensenada, Baja Mexico with some local ministry projects. Such as visiting orphanages, visiting a rehab center, girl’s safe house, evangelism in the red light district in Tijuana. Please keep un in your prayer!! It’s going to be an amazing time!
I have been living at the base just over a month. This is the first time in many years I have been living in community. Normally I live off campus renting a room. But I wanted to get closer to staff and students this season. It’s been stretching but also really good. I can see why God wanted me to take this step. To be surrounded with the DTS students has been such a blessing, been able to pour into their lives more each day has been such a blessing, seeing them grow take a leap of faith. See them get deeper in the things of God brings joy to my face.
Dan and I are also doing really good, getting to know each other more and more. It’s just been a great to have him in my life, to see what God is doing with him as well. We are so happy. He also volunteers at his church in kid’s ministry, and has an amazing job. I am also getting to know his family very well.
Please keep my funds in your prayers. It’s been pretty stretching this month. My vehicle has been great the last few years but it won’t last much long I really need a different one. I can’t keep using duck tape to keep putting it back together. I know that the Lord always comes thru.
If you would faithfully consider partnering with me, every dollar makes such a difference. You are very much part of what is happening here in Las Vegas, Urban Ministry and the 10/40 Window! India, Nepal, Africa & Eastern Europe!! Thank you

Las Vegas is Home
Summer has gone by, 100 degrees, sun scorching, desert, but its home. This is the place God has called me to be. Thank you for believing in me, for standing with me in prayer and financial support. Your words of love and kindness makes things easier, Vegas is home for now. I don’t know how long I will be here. But I know I am here as long as He calls me to be To make a difference, to advance His kingdom. It is a place where many are hungry to know, where many are longing. Thank you for standing with me.
1 year later
A total of 12 months have gone by since moving to the City known as “Sin City”. A place I have come to love. Yes I can tell you it’s not easy to be here. But the need is great, and so makes it all worth it. I enjoy working with YWAM Las Vegas and what they stand for. Serving the Church, City and the Nations. It’s been stretching, but I have seen Gods hand over my life in the last 12 months. Dan and I also continue to do well, we continue to put the Lord first in our relationship, we are extremely happy with what the future holds.
In June I was able to go to California to be there for my best friend’s wedding. It was a beautiful!! I was so blessed to be part of it. I was also able to be with Family and friends. Spent some time in YWAM San Francisco with our staff and Summer interns. Got to spend time with my sister, had such a great time with her. Then went to San Jose with Dan’s Family! Busy time but it was incredible!!Summer has just ended. I had the privilege of working with our “Mission Adventures” ministry. It’s a youth ministry focus project. I really enjoyed it and had such a blast. We had 4 weeks of teams!! Many youth came to know the Lord, and were stretched out of their comfort zone as we hit the streets of Las Vegas. We saw many people receive prayer, healings; many were blessed as a result of our Mission Adventures program. It was such a great time to see these teens moving forward reflecting the Love of Jesus in this City. And you were all very much part of it. Thank you!!

Students & More Students!!
Well as summer is coming to a close. I am getting ready for the next project. First I been very involved in the church I been attending. The Crossing Church, have been part of a small Group, and been playing on a small worship team. It’s been great connecting with a great church. Especially one that I have known for a few years since it’s the same church that was going to YWAM Tijuana as well when I was on staff there.
The staff and I will be having a Staff retreat Aug 19-21st as we debrief the summer projects, and we will also be going to a staff workshop in Northern California end of August. Middle of September I will be helping staff the next Discipleship Training School. I’m really excited for the next DTS!!. It’s going to be exciting to have more Students at our base again. Please pray for that as it’s going to keep me busy. I will also be helping coordinate a trip to Mexico for the students. I’m excited see students eager to learn about God, just seeing them stretch, and just getting to know them. I’m so excited! There will be over 20 students.
Thank you!

Grateful
Thank you for standing with me in this transition to this new place. But I must be honest, there is a reality. As I left Mexico to move back into the U.S there was a bit of a culture shock. I know it has not been easy. I’m grateful for each of you who take the time to read my letters, blogs, photos, updates, prayer request. As time goes by as I live year by year living by faith. My career has been a life choosing to always put my Heavenly Father first a life of Faith. And at the end, it’s always worth it. To be able to share the love of Jesus to the needy makes it all worth is. Sometimes I don’t know what will happen next, but it’s all worth it. I live a life knowing that I have been called. Knowing that people like you are standing with me. I’m grateful for that. Whether it be in prayer or financial support..I’m grateful!

A Big Gracias!!
Thank you for standing with me, believing in me, for sowing. You have made life here in YWAM Las Vegas easier. I been here almost 10 months, but I was gone for 2 months on outreach. Things are going great! I’m definitely enjoying the church I been attending. As it is the same church that was going to YWAM Tijuana while I was there to build homes. And I was their translator on several house builds. It’s great to be living in Las Vegas and to be connected with so many people before I even moved here.
Thank you for partnering with me in making this move to this crazy city easier. I can see God’s favor, his hands, and grace as I am now living in a place where so many are in need. Thank you for seeing His heart not just me. It’s because of people like you that I may move forward.

Spring Cleaning!
At the moment things have slowed down just a bit but it was a very busy Spring. We had our DTS students go on their outreach to Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand & Cambodia. Yes the students were there during the earthquake, but praise GOD everyone was safe. They are now finishing up with their outreach and will be back in Las Vegas very soon.
We also had several Jr. High, High School and College age students come to YWAM Las Vegas to attend Mission Adventures camp during the spring. It was so amazing to see many young people eager to share the Gospel in Sin City. The teams were able to pray for the needy on Fremont, share the gospel down at the Strip, pass out cold water to the many who live on the streets. At the beginning of the week you can see how shy they were to try even talking with people. But at the end, many hearts were transformed, many took a leap of faith to share their stories, pray for the sick, and be used as instruments to take the Kingdom of God forward.

100 degrees is here
I want to thank you for standing with me. I was able to go back to YWAM San Diego/Baja and participate in the 25th Anniversary of Homes of Hope. In honor of the Anniversary 25 homes were built which means 25 families now have a roof over their heads, children have a bed to sleep in. It was one huge task but more than a blessing. It was great to see some familiar faces as well. My parents also volunteered for the huge event, it was great to have them there. There was about 1,000 at the Celebration!! And YWAM Founders Loren & Darlin Cunningham spoke.
It will be my first summer here in Vegas, and yeap it’s already 100 degrees. I’m not excited about the weather but guess I better get comfortable. I’m just glad that the place I am living has A.C and a pool. And my car is hanging in there. We are expecting 5 teams this summer. I’m excited to see more lives transformed, youth stepping out, fearless! Pray that these teams have their lives transformed. And also for the staff and I to be able to work together, encourage the lives of these youth. Late June we will be going to San Francisco for our summer staff to get some training.

Hands of Grease
A few days ago, I was taking out the trash from the base as I do many times. After I threw several bags away, my hands got some grease on them. Don’t know how or when. But as I looked at my hands, with no gloves..all I can think of, “well it’s ok, it’s just grease, I can just wash them.” As I thought about it some more, I said to myself, “It’s all part of the lifestyle I been called to.” I didn’t even get angry, it didn’t even bother me. I been in this lifestyle so long, serving in missions, that not even grease will bother me, it’s just part of it. Perhaps if I been called to other things. Like work in a dress shop, photographer, hair stylist, and dentist anything else. Would it be different? Would I react differently? To live serve and be so compassionate about making a difference. Dirt, grease,
stains, tiredness, hunger, pain. It’s all included, it’s all there, it happens.
Not that anything else is bad. I just been chosen to live a lifestyle walking
by faith, and all that is involve to make it happen, to take the Gospel forward
makes it all worth it.
It’s because of you who are reading this, taking your time to read what
God is doing, that I am able to take the Gospel forward. It’s because of you
that I can serve in a place where my hands will get grease, will get dirt. But you
know what? I love it! This is my calling. Thank you

Thank you for standing with me, for sowing and believing in
what God has called me out to do. It seems like so long that I was in India and
Nepal. It was such a blessing to lead a group of 8 students to countries I had
been longing to go. It was one amazing adventure, and I wouldn’t have been able
to without people like you. Thank you for your continuous prayer and support.
Yes you are totally right, it has been a while. I didn’t disappear I didn’t forget you. It just has been a hectic few weeks. I have been back from India and Nepal since end of December. But since then I have traveled 3 times out of state. Always on my heart
I just wanted to share a bit of how my last trip went. Like I said I had the opportunity to lead some amazing students to countries I had long to go for some time. Nepal was amazing, working with a local ministry that works with street kids. We also had the opportunity to feed and minister to street kids. And also go to the favelas, and share with some young women who are trapped in a life of Human trafficking. Not being able to have their own voice, some have been taken away from their loved ones, and now are treated like they have no value. The students did amazing ministering, loving and reflecting God’s love to these amazing girls.
India was also such a blessing, stretching in a good way. We lived in a girl’s orphanage for 3 weeks. These girls have no one else but the people who have taken them in and other girls who are from same backgrounds. To hear them every morning bright and early be committed to an hour of prayer and the word truly blessed me. Some beautiful and amazing girls. We also had the opportunity to teach songs, English, and a Christmas program, including a skit. It was one amazing time!! I will never forget my team and the girls in the home. We made an impact in the 10/40, and that’s what it was about. Seeing more reached with the Love of Christ!

It's Vegas!
Since being back to Vegas after my last trip, I find myself finally adjusting to Vegas. I was so busy last season with the DTS (Discipleship Training School) that I never had a time to adjust until now. It’s going great!! Connecting more with staff, local church, and also had a couple weeks of some speaking engagements at my home church during Missions Day. And another one in Utah, visiting one amazing church and Pastor Rene and his family. They are very dear to me, and I was so happy to finally visit them.
What's Next?
Well a few weeks ago I was helping with the current DTS, it’s one amazing group of girls. We have 26 females!! They are all so wonderful! They are currently on a mini outreach in Mexico that I helped organize. They are serving in orphanages, Girls orphanage, safe house, and more. They are doing amazing and I am so proud of them.
The next few weeks I will be helping with one of our other Ministry projects called, Mission Adventures.” This is several youth that are coming to participate in camp. I am so excited to help with MA again, love working with this age group, sharing stories, motivating them, and seeing them grow. At the beginning of the week, when going to share the gospel on the streets they are so shy. But by the end of the week, they are pumped, ready to reflect God’s heart, love it!! It’s with your prayers and support that I am able to love on these youth, sharing the word, motivating them to get out of their comfort zone. Thank you for allowing me to continue to move forward in what He has called me out to do. You mean a lot to me, and hope you will continue to stand with me.

Stand by me
Las Vegas is a big mission field. So many people who need to be loved on, cared for, and know that they do matter. My life here in Vegas is a daily reminder that I must continue to die to self so that I may be used to Advance His Kingdom. Especially here in Vegas, God cares about this city. Yes it may be known as sin
city, but truly believe this place will be called “Grace City, Hope & Love”
I want to fulfill His calling in my life for another 13 years or more. Stand
with me to make this possible, to see more souls being added to His Kingdom.

Viva Las VegasIt’s been a long 7 weeks! A time of moving, new city, new journey. Leaving my home of 5 years YWAM San Diego/Tijuana, but at the end all worth it. I almost didn’t make it after my car broke down only days I was suppose to leave and arrive in my new home YWAM Las Vegas, but I made it!! Here I am. And wow, what a change!
A place I now call home, where the weather is 103 degrees at the moment. Sin City is no easy place. But it’s also the perfect mission to His advance kingdom. I have met so many amazing people. I attend a great church called The Crossing, and fellowship with some awesome group of friends. And my co-workers here at YWAM Las Vegas have also been a blessing. It’s a new community, new routine, it’s home.
Thank you for all your support, prayers, for standing with me. For believing with me when I knew it was time for a change. Some might say well Why Vegas?” Why here?? The answer is simple. Why not! I must go where the Lord calls. It could be stretching living in a new city where few come to stay. But this place where many are in need. I must go, my call is to go where the Lord sends me. No matter how far, no matter where that will be. I am here. Thank you for standing with me!! I need people like you. Yes it’s back in the U.S but it’s a mission to win more souls! To reach those who are waiting. Walking in thirst in this sun, the homeless wander without any hope. To give the women of the street hope. My only goal is reflect the love of Jesus, that’s why I am here. It’s one hard city, but I long to soften their hearts. Sin City will be Life City!!

what's Next?? 10/40 Journey
A couple weeks after my arrival in YWAM Las Vegas, I began to staff a DTS (Discipleship Training School). We have 8 amazing students from the U.S, Sweden, & England. It’s been so great to see them learn, grow, and just be stretch every week. One of the Schools is Orphan Care DTS, and the other is Abolitionist DTS. And in just a couple months I will be leading an outreach to India & Nepal!!!! I’m so excited for this opportunity. But before that I will also be visiting what use to be my home for outreach training in YWAM San Diego/Baja. We will be going to Ensenada for a few days. Going to the red light district, orphanage, and hopefully going to a girls home as well. I’m so excited for the DTS students to see Mexico!
I have always longed and been a dream of mine to go to India and Nepal, as part of the 10/40 window. The most unreached countries in the world. Not only to go, it has been a burden to reach the untouchables, the neglected and the poor people group of India. And now in less than a couple months I will have that opportunity. But I cannot do it alone. I need your help. I ask that you will prayerfully consider partnering with me to make this possible. The average fees for this trip will be between $1,500-$2,000 as I will be there for 2 months. And I also need to raise funds for my Las Vegas rent while I am away, while will be about $450. What a blessing that will be to go to India & Nepal, especially for these students!! I hope you will be part of this mission. Stand with me, an opportunity like no other. Thank you!!

Faithful
This is it!! After 5 years of serving with YWAM San Diego/Baja. It’s time to move forward. It’s time to step into a new journey. I have seen so many wonderful things in these years. God has never left my side, and you have been there as well. I have had the privilege to work with many wonderful people in many great places. One of those places was when I first started with YWAM San Diego/Baja in 2009 Tecate, Mexico serving with 10 amazing staff. It was a hard pioneering year, but none the less, one year I will never forget. It showed me to never give in, to really walk by faith.
You all have stood by me as I have traveled to Haiti, Dominican Republic, Philippines and several areas of Mexico the last few years with YWAM San Diego/Baja. I have built many homes with the “Homes of Hope” ministry. Juvenile Hall ministry, Worship team, Prayer Walks in the Red Light District. Youth Camps with Mission Adventures Ministry, and many administrative hours as Volunteer Coordinator. Thank you for sowing, thank you for believing in what the Lord continues to call me out to do. And now the new journey continues; it does not stop here. To you, I am grateful, to you who take the time to read my blogs, letters, prayer request, praise reports!! To you! I am more than grateful. My words can’t express how I feel knowing people like you care, believe, stand with me, and are excited to hear what will take place next. Thank you!

The Journey Continues
Yes this journey continues. To move from Mexico back to U.S soil is not easy. To others it could be exciting, in the flesh, I am wondering and nervous knowing I will no longer have a “colonia” to minister to. A house to build on the weekends for the needy, not have to worry about the water from the tab. Not have to worry about going home if the sky is dark. That was my normal! This was my routine. Mexico I will miss you dearly.
But I am being obedient to what He is calling me to do. Yes it’s exciting, a new journey begins! Blessed that I will continue with the same organization just different location different focus. Youth With A Mission Las Vegas here I come. My heart is already there, the moment I felt peace, I also felt His hand over it. It’s been amazing to see what the He has been working to make everything work out for this new journey!! It’s also amazing that He is confirming what I will have an opportunity to be involved the 10/40 window, to go to some of the most unreached areas of the world. He has confirmed Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
I ask that you will prayerfully consider standing with me for this new journey, to make all things possible. To stand with me, to sow, give what is on your heart.
Thank you for your time.

Grateful for doors
Time has passed by, and things have been moving fast! God has been moving in so many different ways. And it has been a time of blessing, lives transformed in many ways, so much to be grateful for. To all those who have stood by me the last couple months, how blessed I really am. I have seen my bible school students here in YWAM Tijuana be part of something big. And it was amazing to be part of that.
Middle of April I got to be part of a local outreach with the DTS (Discipleship Training School) Where we partnered with local churches, food programs, working in the red light district, orphanages, and just seeing so many lives transformed! It was so great to see God move in Tijuana, and seeing the students apply all that they learned. Then it was time to move in the 2nd phase of their outreach. They went off to Honduras! I was so proud of them, a huge success.
I have also seen doors open and close. Some I didn’t understand at first confuse to be honest. But soon I saw God all over it. Excited how truly God was all over it, to be at His feet and say, “Lord here I am”. To take a time and just rest, seek, worship, and no matter what always give back. That is what I was made for. I am grateful for those open and close doors. He didn’t send me to Honduras, yet I was still part of it, funds were sent to the orphanage there. Some things were in my control while others were not. Yet He spoke clearly that it will be a time of resting in Him. I am grateful for those doors. Thank you for standing with me, for sowing, praying, believing in me. Your words, prayers make a huge difference!! Feeling so confident that He is all over it! Thank you.

A Smile..
I really loved how after many years, the Lord opened an opportunity for me to go and visit my aunt & uncle in Guadalajara!! It was such a blessing to be with them and cousins. We missionaries don’t really take a time of rest how we should, but this visit was completely different. My aunt and uncle are like my mentors, and are very much part of what I do. It was great to be with them and also help in their ministry. I had a few speaking engagements as well. So great to encourage the church, share the love of Christ. Got to visit my missionary friends in Tepic, Nayarit Mexico.
I was blessed to see my younger cousins lead worship thinking of how it’s the next generation of “leaders” in my family. It brought tears of joy, smile to my face. It was a great balance of being able to receive and continue to give back as well.

Next Journey He calls..
The few weeks while in Guadalajara, was such exciting time for me. The Lord really reminded me about many things to think about pray about while being there. He reminded me about what He really wanted for me for this next season of my life. He reminded me that He really wanted me to apply more of my passions and visions.
Besides going back to the Philippines later this year. I was reminded of my passion for the 10/40 window. Countries where the Gospel is really hard to reach, the untouchables, neglected, Child Soldiers, the broken. I know we have many of that here in Baja, Mexico. But I long to go to Nations where many have not heard of the Love of Christ not even once. That is my passion!! That is my burden.
After seeking, praying, talking. I have taking the initiative and will be visiting a YWAM location that focuses in the 10/40 window. And I have lots of peace that my time in Tijuana has come to an end. I have been with YWAM San Diego/Baja for 5 years now. I love it here, and will always be part of me. But I must be obedient to what He is calling to go. I am going to….. YWAM LAS VEGAS!! I am still waiting for a few more things, and will need your prayers. But my director here in Tijuana is super excited for me and is sending me out with their blessing. Which is exactly what I wanted. God is all over it, and I am really looking forward to this next journey as you walk and stand with me.
I'm still praying about timing, but know it will be after the summer. But it’s all in His hands, and can sure use your prayers and support to go where He leads me, and do what the Lord tells me and shows me. This is an exciting time. It’s bitter sweet as I also love Tijuana and the people, staff, students, ministry. I will be visiting Las Vegas June 9th-12th to talk to staff, see ministry projects, and continue to pray about this exciting opportunity! God is so good!

A grateful Heart Jan- Feb 2014 Volume 12, Issue 1
This season, this moment, this amazing time, has been a time where I truly seen God work in amazing ways. To see God do miracles in my life, from doors opening, to financial provision and His healing touch. I can truly be grateful for all He has done. I am so grateful for my family, friends and co labors that have partnered with me during this season. I am extremely grateful to my Lord for walking by my side during a time where I thought it would difficult. But having my Lord there, it was the start of a healing process. Thank you all!!
Healing Begins
As doors opened, timing and finances, it was time to make the right call. Time to take care of myself, the pain was really taken a toll on my life, and needed to do something about it. As I continued to pray, and as He gave me peace, I knew it was confirmation, it was time. End of November 2013, just a bit over 2 months ago I went in for corrective surgery for a herniated disc in my neck. This was something that I very much needed, having pain for many years. Now the pain is gone, and recovering, and I been feeling so great!! It’s the start of my healing, and it’s been amazing to see the difference!! I know many were praying, and many partnered with me for some medical cost. Thank you all for making this happen. It has been a blessing to see how much a difference it has been; I know God used this surgery to lift me up and to bless my life. My parents walked with me every step of the way, my friends, and best of all, my Heavenly Father.

Transforming lives
After returning from Holiday vacation and the start of a new year. There were several things I had been praying about for 2014. I really wanted something new for this new year. Besides recovering from my surgery. I wanted to see where God will lead me next?? So many great things were happening with YWAM, and blessed to be part of. But I wanted to be go back to a place where my calling first began. To be reminded of those moments. And not a moment too soon, I was approached by the Discipleship Training School leader to see if I was interested to staff. He told me to pray about it; I accepted the challenge. Which meant being part of leading a 5 month intensive training course helping train students for a lifetime of Christ centered service. The core theme is to “To know God and make Him known”. During the school, students will learn more about who God is, His character, His nature, and His ways. What was amazing is that the theme of this school was Transformation!!! From Romans 12:1-2 We will focus on knowing God, experiencing his presence, and being transformed more into his image! That is the whole reason why I felt the calling into Missions, God transformed my life, and I felt like I needed to share it to others, and now here I am more than 10 yrs later, and I get to see others walk the path I did. I see them so hungry, so eager, being stretched. It’s going to be amazing. And I am super blessed to be part of their lives. At the end of 3 months we will partake on a 2 month missionary trip to apply all we have learned. It might be Africa, Southern Mexico, DR. But I will go where the Lord sends me. I am super excited to walk this journey, and also see more of God in my life during this season.

Stand with Me
The next few months will be amazing, and at the same time challenging. I am still doing my job as volunteer coordinator, translator for House Builds, and I want to give 100 % to the students of the DTS. I’m in a place where the Lord has called me to be because of people like you. To be able to give to so many people in Tijuana the gift of the gospel, encourage and consistently reflecting His love wherever I walk. Everything else is worth it. But I cannot do it alone. There is a reality; I must move on, I must keep going forward. Bills must be paid, staff fees. But that is just extra. It’s all worth it. Would you stand with me? Will you believe in me? Thank you for who you are.

Time Passes by
When life across the border is busy, not just with some amazing things, meeting so many people but to actually see what God is doing in Tijuana Mexico..it’s a good kind of busy. But wow, the times passes by, the weeks and months, and then you realize how long it’s been since you actually sat and wrote down and got to share with your love ones and friends about all the good that has happened. Sometimes I feel like it gets boring to everyone else, sometimes I don’t feel like sharing, like no one else wants to know. Like this life I have it’s all in this little bubble. Even though I know that’s not true. Just let me get real. I know that when I get to share all the good about what God is doing, the only reason I love sharing is because I consider you part of this adventure with me, no matter where you are and what you do and how long it’s been. I see this time passing by, sometimes with no response from anyone, should I see it as I sign? I’m in this little bubble I have in front of me. But I will not feel discourage, I must move on, I have to, it’s what I been called to do, it’s for them the people the ones who are longing to hear. I must wipe the dust and keep on going no matter what. No matter how long it’s been, after all I’m not ever standing alone. God is on my side. I will stand firm in the truth.

I must wipe the dust and keep on going no matter what. No matter how long it’s been, after all I’m not ever standing alone. God is on my side. I will stand firm in the truth.
Countless Homes
This summer was just so many amazing! I got to be part of so many house builds. From June- August so many lives were transformed with the Homes of Hope project. Several teams came and participated, which means several 100’s of families were blessed with homes this summer!! Can you imagine sleeping on the cold wet dirt floor for years? Families of 3-6 members, sometimes sleeping in horrible conditions for up to 5 years. Some of these kids as young as 6 months having respiratory problems because of the conditions of some of these homes. Many of these children die before their 5th Birthday. And many of the children who live in these homes drop out of school to work in order to help their parents get income to help pay for food or anything necessary to survive. And then one day they are told they will receive a Home for FREE! The vicious cycle is stopped, they kids get healthy, kids go back to school, and parents now find work and are at peace and have joy. They now have a home and do not have to worry. This amazes me!! With a “Homes of Hope” the cycle is stopped, a reflection of God’s love! And I am so blessed to be part of it. It’s because of you who partner with me that I get to be. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this amazing project. And you are also part of so many of the lives transformed in Baja, Mexico. Thank you.

Philippines Project moves on
Well after a lot of praying and seeking God, I came to a very hard decision this year. I have decided to postpone my trip to the Philippines this year. And it’s been very hard, but I know I have to in order to continue to do ministry in the future. First off, I will be moving forward with the project in the Philippines, and still need your help!! I am helping street kids & needy families in a village I worked in the last few years. I helped my friend Annie, and she planted a church in Cavite, a very needy area. I want to be able to help fund 150 bags of food for people in her village, which will help feed them for at least a month during the month of December, and 100 Christmas presents. I have already started fundraising. It's a project that I have been doing for almost 3 years now. And although I cannot travel there this year, I am committed to this project, and need your help.

Good & Bad news
The reason I cannot travel to the Philippines this year is because I found out I need surgery in my cervical spine. I do not know the type of operation I will need just yet. It could be a very common procedure or it could be a very complex depending on what the results will be on me 2nd appt. I am not worried because It’s something I been needing to take care of for a while. I never thought I would need surgery, but here I am. The Lord is opening the door, and it seems to be the right timing. If I don’t take care of this now, I won’t be well to do any ministry in the future. I ask that you keep me in prayer for this surgery, I do have insurance, but there are several doctors visits that are not covered, and co-pays. Please pray for fudns to come in for that.
And also for the Philippines project. I want these kids to have an amazing Christmas. So far $650 has come in and I would l like to raise $1,000 in total so that I can wire the funds. Please if you would like to give for the Project please send your support, any amount will make such a difference to these kids. $5, $10, $30. I am also in need for living expenses here in Tijuana, Mexico. If you would like you partner with me, so I may continue to work YWAM San Diego/Baja. And work alongside projects like Homes of Hope. I need people like you to believe in me, stand with and sow. I know i must move on, this is my passion, my calling, this is what I do. And I know the Lord is always with me. Thank you for your time, and for standing with me.

MARCH- MAY 2013 Volume 11, Issue 2
busy busy..but life is goodYes it has been a while my friends. Things this spring have been busier than ever. But it’s also been a time of great blessing and great opportunity to see God do some great things in my personal life, ministry and with YWAM San Diego Baja.
In mid March I traveled to our campus in Tijuana, which I do every 2-3 weeks, to help translate for a Canadian team, from Abbtsford, B.C. I spent 5 days with them participating in a ministry program called Mission Adventures, which is a ministry focusing on evangelism, and the Heart of God for young adults. The team also got to build a home during their time in YWAM Tijuana. The greatest thing was that I knew the team from last year when they came and stayed with us in San Diego also participating in Mission Adventures, doing Urban Ministries. So I was very excited to work alongside the team once again, with many familiar faces, some new ones. I had a great time, and hopefully before the summer ends I am planning a visit to Canada to see some good friends from the same team. I am really excited, as I never been to Canada.

Let's Go for a RUN!!
This was the event I had been waiting for all year!! It was Sharon’s Ride. Walk. Run for Epilepsy on April 14th. I was really excited for this event, many of family and friends came out to show their support. This was an effort to raise awareness, advocacy and research for Epilepsy, and it was my 3rd year in a row participating in the event. 15 people came to show their support, $540 was collected from family, friends, and co-workers for the Epilepsy foundation of San Diego.
It was so great to see so many people show their support for this cause, and so glad to participate. I hope to do this event every year!! Such a great event, more than 5,000 people came out sow their support!! Right after the event was a great BBQ!

Mexico here I come..
I’m sure by now you’re wondering what’s been going on with this news about Tijuana. Yes it’s all true, I have officially moved to our Tijuana del Mar campus, April 25th was my first official day. I had been living in San Diego for almost 3 years, wow times passes by so fast.
I always knew San Diego would be temporary; it was just a long temporary. And I was commuting to Tijuana every 2-3 weeks to help with Homes of Hope. But now I have moved to Tijuana, a new chapter of my life for now. I enjoy it, love working with the people, and being closer to my YWAM community. I’m still adjusting. It’s another transition. And I guess as a missionary you always need to be ready for them. But I got to say, I miss my San Diego community, even though I’m not far, it’s different when you’re here, when you live a completely different schedule. But I do love ministry, it’s my passion. But I will also not give up on my San Diego community, they mean so much to me, and have been such a blessing, and are very much part of what I do

What I love to do
Things here in YWAM Tijuana del Mar are going well. I continue to help run and coordinate short term volunteers for all our campuses with YWAM San Diego/Baja. And on the weekends, I have been going on house builds with our Homes of Hope ministry.
I really do enjoy serving others, especially when it’s about a team or a individual that has never had the opportunity to see for themselves what missions is all about. To be able to encourage them and share with them that they too can leave an imprint on the lives of others with the Love of Jesus Christ, all of that makes it worthwhile! I have come to understand that my calling isn’t just sharing the word, but to really encourage others that they are vital in the kingdom of God, that we are responsible to make sure it is carried out. It’s not just us missionaries, but that we are all His instruments. We must reflect his word wherever we walk and whoever we talk to; it is our responsibilities as followers of Christ to reflect His Love..
My passion is also to share with the families I help build homes for, and remind them, it’s not just a Home or material. It was built with the love and foundation of Jesus Christ. That they shouldn’t look to man, but to be thankful to God! That they are beloved they are not forgotten, and that no matter what trial they facing God is with them every step of the way. To leave everything in His hands. To not give into the lies, but to stand firm in the truth. That God has big plans for their lives, “future and Hope”.

Need your help
Everything I am involved with ministry with YWAM San Diego/Baja here in Tijuana can’t be done without your financial support. Yes I rely on God, and yes I believe he will come through like He always does. But I need the support of family, friends, and anyone who will stand with me. I ask that you would financially consider partnering with me to make this possible.
